As we are approaching Christmas and the end of the year, let us remember that the goodness and mercy of the Lord follows us all the days of our lives (Psalms 23:6). The Lord is pouring out His goodness from heaven upon us!

In Exodus 33:18, Moses said to the Lord, “Show me your glory.” The Lord responded to him in verse 19, saying, “I will make all My goodness pass before thee; and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee, and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.”

What is His goodness? Goodness in the Hebrew is word “tub,” and it means His goodness, His beauty, His gladness, His welfare, His joy!

Do you need the joy of the Lord today? Do you want to start walking in the joy of the Lord? When Moses said “Show me you glory,” the Lord basically said, “I will let My goodness pass before you.” Praise the Lord! God wants to reveal His joy, His beauty, His gladness to you!

See, when you walk in the joy of the Lord, in His beauty and His gladness, then His glory will come forth. Manifestations of His glory can come in the form of laughter, fire, or healing. It may even come in the Kabod glory, which is a weightier and heavier glory that is part of the character of God. I know I want to carry this Kabod glory!

When God shows you His goodness, He is sharing His honor, authority and character with you. The Hebrew word “Shem” confirms this, as it means thatGod is revealing His character, authority and honor.

Do you want to see more of the glory of the Lord in your life? Do you want to be a glory carrier? Then you need to know and understand God’s goodness and how He proclaims His name before you.

You need to know how good God is. Take an evaluation. How good is God? Do you feel that God is good in your life? Is God One who is good in everything that He does? Or do you have a theology that says God is only good when He does this or that?

Open yourself up to the goodness of the Lord. Proclaim His name! Habakkuk 2:14 says, “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters covers the sea.” This is an element that will come before the revealing of the Kabod glory.

God’s character is one of goodness and joy. When you stand in His joy, honor and authority, you become a glory carrier. This allows the Lord to release His glory into your home, workplace, city, state and nation.

You ARE CALLED to be a glory carrier! Take time today to ask the Lord to show you His goodness.

Share this with a friend who needs to see that God’s goodness is present in their life!
